HOW IMPORTANT IS AN ONLINE PRESENCE? CRUCIALLY, NOW.

HOW IMPORTANT IS AN ONLINE PRESENCE? CRUCIALLY, NOW.

Gander Mountain is closing.

No kidding, I'm heading over this morning to get some last minute deals.

"Change is the only constant in life." -Heraclitus (Greek Philosopher)

Sears is in trouble. I remember one of my earliest jobs, circa high school, being a Juniors Associate. I could go home and sing the recordings from the tapes they would play by heart (they didn't mix it up too often).

HH Gregg, where we have purchased appliances for years, is shutting its doors. We bought our first large on online purchase, a mattress, recently as well. We used reviews instead of "the butt test" and moved on. It's a nice mattress.

The point is, commerce and retail is changing. You have to have a unique voice to survive. Big box is on its way out, unless you have a dedicated online following, or supply goods that are difficult to buy online, and even then delivery is a hot benefit.

If you don't have an online presence, you need one.

Saying that, a quick site isn't going to cut it. Much like traffic is important in a brick and mortar, so web traffic pertains to your online business. Using the right keywords, having a unique voice, and providing a clear idea of your services is crucial.

Brick and mortar isn't dead, but it is changing. If you do have a brick and mortar establishment, you need to make sure it compliments your online presence, and can support turning one time customers into loyal fans.

Saying that, finding a designer that is in it for the long haul, and can handle both development and design is tough. Again, we know.

To help our clients stay ahead of the curve, we made a business decision to add a new service to our business for the first time in quite a while. As of this week, we can now offer our small business clients web design and e-commerce services. As always, the needs assessment and discovery is free, and our projects aren't considered successful until our clients are happy. For complex needs and midmarket businesses, we are developing a network of designers with unique specializations, able to meet your needs.

Small businesses have to constantly evolve to meet market demands. That's what we are doing, and we want to help you do the same with dependable resources. Thanks to our recent partnership with BigCommerce, our existing partnership with Revel Systems, and our work with QuickBooks and QuickBooks Point of Sale, we are working to not only help you with your brick and mortar point of sale needs, but also with your online presence and integrations into your accounting software.
